Seven chapters talk about life in Nairobi, juxtaposing it with the characteris cs of bebop: fast tempos, adventurous improvisations, virtuous solos, and seemingly nonsense. Like bebop, Nairobi may not be liked by everyone, but it offers the opportunity to experience something visceral. The documentary represents a deeply personal experience that offers luxury, or poor dusty suburbs, or unique opportunities to glimpse life in the arid “otherworld” of northern Kenya.
