In October we will continue workshops for the youth, this time at the MONAR center in Kamień Rymański. We will learn about the creative process of filmmaking, acquire social and communicational skills, and develop creative thinking. Workshop participants will create their own script, based on which they will produce a short film. They will work with audiovisual equipment and play the roles of filmmakers: camera operators, sound engineers, set designers and actors, and they will have a say in the editing process. Th e workshops will be conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

  • My First Time in My Life14'59"

    Production: PL 2016

    This 15-minute documentary film shows a typical day of mister Henryk. For the first time, however, something exceptional happens – something our protagonist will never forget. The film is set in contemporary Szczecin. Its director is Krzysztof Kuźnicki, known Szczecin-based director and culture animator. In 2011 it was him who initiated the creation of the Kamera Association, which successfully popularises film art in the West Pomerania region.

    A record of experiences resulting from the decision to raise an adopted child was put in an impressionistic form of a film etude, which moves and provokes reflection. A story of love and, above all, about the consequences of its lack and the great need to satisfy it is a step towards disenchanting adoption – a topic which still remains a taboo for many people.

    Independent filmmaker specialising in documentary film. Founder and president of Szczecin-based Kamera Association. Author and producer of film education projects for youth and seniors. Director of numerous documentary films which were presented at many film festivals in Poland and abroad. Author of idea for Senior Movie Festival. In his creative work he finds it important for the film’s protagonist to co-create the picture. By entering into a relation with the film’s heroes, he shows them parallel worlds and, at the same time, their own personalities.
